(Program Locations are: Beaver Local High School and Columbiana Exempted Village High School)

This teacher preparation program provides qualified high school students a head start on a successful career path to teaching. Teacher preparation is a partnership among high school/secondary schools, post-secondary institutions and the Ohio Department of Education. Completion of the program may lead to college credits. An articulation agreement exists with Youngstown State University and Eastern Gateway Community College.

Academic Classes:
Career Path for the Teaching Profession students will follow the academic curriculum below during the two years of the program.

First year/Level I

  • English 11
  • Math (Prealgebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, or Geometry)
  • Anatomy
  • Government

Second Year/Level II

  • English 12
  • Math (Algebra I, Algebra II,Geometry, or Trig/PreCalc)
  • Chemistry
  • Economics/Global Studies
