Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician program prepares the student to perform technical duties related to the preparation and dispensing of medication under the supervision of registered licensed pharmacists.  Pharmacy Technicians help prepare prescriptions by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and measuring medication, and labeling bottles.  Students will be prepared to work in either retail or institutional setting.  The students successfully completing this course will take the national certification exam for Pharmacy Tech.

Curriculum will include:
1st Semester
 - Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology
 - Introduction to Pharmacy Math
 - Introduction to Pharmacy Technician Fundamentals
 - Medical Terminology
 - Microsoft Applications
 2nd Semester
 - Pharmacy Theory: Pharmacy Drug Terminology
 - Pharmacy Law
 - Pharmacy Technician Fundamentals
 - Pharmacology
 - 84 Hour Externship

Monday through Thursday, Classes scheduled between 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm



*Half of any semester balance is due on the first night of class.
*A payment plan will be provided to you for the remainder of the balance

- OSHA 10 Hour Card
