Welding

CCCTC is an American Welding Society Educational Institution Member , as well as an AWS Certified Testing Facility. We offer AWS Sense Curriculum to ensure our students learn the skills necessary to become certified by the end of the program. 

This course is designed for the person who is interested in entering the welding trades. The course is an overview of the five fundamentals of welding as outlined in the American Welding Society Sense Program. Curriculum: Electric Arc Welding, MIG Welding, TIG Welding and Oxygen/Acetylene Burning and Cutting. The student has the opportunity to obtain AWS Welding certification.

Financial Aid is available to those who qualify 

 Program Course Offerings:   2 or 3-semester option
 1st Semester
 - Welding Theory I 
 - Welding Industrial Math Blueprint
 - Welding Open Lab 
 - Weld I Guided Lab 
 2nd Semester
 - Welding Theory II
 - Welding Guided lab
 - Welding Open Lab
 - Blueprint Reading               


Employment Opportunities Include:


Welders are employed in many industry groups. Machinery, Manufacturing, agricultural, construction and oil, and gas, Currently with the explosion of Oil & Gas extraction and the Utica Shale Plays we are seeing a large increase in demand for welders.


Length of Program:


2 Semesters at 450 hours each Program is a total of 900 hours.


Dates & Times of Classes:


New Student Orientation:   August 30th at 5 p.m. 
Fall Semester:   September 12-January 17
Spring Semester:   January 22-May 16

Monday through Thursday, 
Classes scheduled between 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.


Cost:



Credentials completers are eligible to earn:


- State of Ohio Vocational Certificate
- AWS Sense Level I to be complete by end of program.
- Crane & Forklift Operator Certification
- OSHA 10 Hour Card
