Practical Nurse

CCCTC Practical Nurse Graduation slated for 9/2022
CCCTC Medical Assistant, Graduate 2015
Jessica attended CCCTC in 2015 for Medical Assistant. She was quickly hired and worked as a Phlebotomist locally at SRMC and also then at Mercy Healthcare. According to Jessica, medical assistant was just supposed to be a stepping stone. Although it took her seven years to return to school, she is now over half way through the Practical Nurse Program and doing extremely well.   Jessica said she chose to return to CCCTC for her nursing program, for several reasons; it was close to her home, CCCTC had the lowest tuition, and she found the staff and faculty to be friendly and helpful.  It just seemed like the right choice.

Practical Nurses provide to individuals and groups the nursing care requiring the application of basic knowledge of the biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences at the direction of a licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or registered nurse.

Practical Nursing emphasizes general nursing skills including medication administration and IV Therapy. This program prepares students to take the state licensing examination. Employment opportunities in practical nursing continue to be abundant.
