CCCTC Adjustments to Align with State of Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine (March 13, 2020)

March 13, 2020

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.  The CCCTC is making the following adjustments to our schedule to align with the executive order put in place by State of Ohio Governor, Mike Dewine, on March 12, 2020:

  • The CCCTC will have a Waiver day on Monday, March 16, 2020 to allow our instructors to prepare for remote learning. Students will not be in session.

  • The CCCTCl will be open from 9am to 1pm on Monday, March 16, 2020 to allow students who were not in school on Friday, March 13 to pick up medications and other personal belongings.

  • The CCCTC will be closed to the public beginning Monday, March 16 at 1:00pm through April 3 unless otherwise directed by the State of Ohio and Health Department partners.

  • We are working diligently with the Ohio Department of Education, partner schools and industry to put our students in a position to earn their industry-recognized credentials and meet other graduation requirements when we return.

  • Administration and staff will meet during the waiver day on Monday, March 16 to decide plans for remote learning.  Once plans have been finalized, all materials will be available online. This information will be communicated through our social media accounts, website, letters to families and One-Call system.

  • Students, parents, and guardians should monitor our social media accounts, access our website and anticipate receiving calls from our One-Call system.

  • We will continue to make all-calls home to keep our students, parents and community members informed of pertinent information.  If you have not been receiving all-calls via our One-Call system you need to call (330) 424-9561 to update your contact information.

  • All previously scheduled field trips/competitions/banquets/fundraisers are canceled or postponed until further notice.  When returning to school, the main focus of our staff will be for students to earn their graduation requirements and industry credentials.

  • The CCCTC maintenance and custodial staff will be cleaning and sanitizing all of our facilities over the next three weeks to prepare for student and staff return on April 6, 2020.

  • Please follow the guidelines of the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health to keep yourself healthy and help reduce the risk of illnesses.
