Career Center Hosts 8th Grade Tours...

The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center hosted 8th grade tours in the month of October.  Students from the many county schools visited the CCCTC so they could start thinking about what career and technical education could offer them for their future careers.   As the state adds more stringent requirements for students to graduate, students need to be prepared to meet the requirements needed to attend the career center. The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center is working to educate students at a younger age about the opportunities that await them when they reach high school age so that we can continue to provide our area and state with skilled workers and students who are ready for college or career upon graduation.   There is a shortage of skilled workers in the county and nationwide in the career fields that are offered in Ohio’s career and technical centers which makes career and technical education a crucial tool in helping local businesses secure skilled workers.   During these visits, students were able to visit all of the labs and participate in hands-on demonstrations.  They were able to talk to current students who could explain to them the benefit of coming to the CCCTC during high school.  CCCTC…the skills you need for the future you want!
